After the attainment of Indian independence, the state government established the Bihar Rashtrabhasha Parishad in the month of July 1950.
It was the result of a resolution approved by the Bihar Legislative Assembly in 1948, with the sole purpose of accomplishing the all-round prosperity of the national language Hindi.
Its inauguration ceremony took place on 11 March 1951, under the proud presidency of His Excellency Madhav Srihari Ane, then the Governor of Bihar.
This institution is embodied in the resolve of the Bihar State Government towards fulfilling the needs of Hindi.
