Mohammad Bin Bakhtiyar Khilji was one of the Military Generals of Qutb-ud-din Aibak who invaded some parts of eastern India by the end of the 12 th Century. During his invasion many of the Viharas and universities were sacked and thousands of Buddhist monks were massacred. The earliest description of his invasion is in Tabaqat-i-Nasiri by Minhaj-i-Siraj.
