World War II started in 1939 when Germany attacked Poland because it suspected Poland to be involved in sabotage operations against the Germans in the border areas.
The main world powers were the Axis powers Germany, Italy, and Japan and the Allies France, Great Britain, the United States, the Soviet Union ,and to a lesser extent, China
