A commercial cargo spacecraft bound for the International Space Station (ISS) was launched on 2 October 2020.
It carried the name of deceased NASA astronaut Kalpana Chawla , the first Indian-born woman to enter space, known for her key contributions to human spaceflight.
The S.S. Kalpana Chawla was launched from the Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport (MARS) at NASA's Wallops Flight Facility.
