(B) State Museum of Madhya Pradesj, Bhopal was earlier known as Edward Museum.King Edward Museum was established by Nawab Sultan Jahan Begum in 1909. The museum has a superb collectionof first-rank sculptures, mostly from the 8thto 12th century period. Some of the older pieces in the excellent sculpture collection include Yaksh is from about 200 BC and a black granite Buddha. The museum has a standout collection of more than 80 Jain bronzes,dated to the 12th century, that were found in Dhar district of Malwa, the western side of Madhya Pradesh.
