(C) Border Security Force (BSF)is responsible for guarding borders of India along with Pakistan and Bangladesh. It was raised in the wake of the 1965 War on 1 December,1965. The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) is tasked to guard the 3,488 km-long Indian frontier with China. The Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) is tasked with guarding Indian borders with Nepal and Bhutan.
