The ozone gas is mainly concentrated in stratosphere at an altitude between 15−35km above the sea level. The stratosphere is the second layer of the atmosphere having an altitude between 15-50 km above the sea level.Stratosphere has no presence of any kind of weather phenomenon due to which it is also known as the non-convective layer. The lower portion of the stratosphere having ozone concentration is known as ozonosphere. The ozone gas is important for the survival of life forms on earth as it absorbs harmful UV radiations coming to the earth's surface.
