India's first ever Black Buck Conservation Reserve will come up in the trans-yamuna region in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. It was approved by the State Cabinet in November 2017. The Indian Black Buck is an antelope which inhabits grassy plains and mildly forested areas. It is found in Central-Western India (Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Punjab, Haryana, Maharashtra) and Southern India (Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu).
