The originator of the Ramasnehi sect was Swami Ramanand Ji Maharaj. People associated with this sect have played an important role in getting the masses to understand the meaning of religion in the single value system.
These saints ended the duality of Hindu-Muslim, Jain-Vaishnava, Dwij-Shudra, Saguna-Nirguna, Bhakti, and Yoga, and established a coordinated simple human religion that was easy and acceptable to all. Later this religion, endowed with human values, was designated as "Ramsnehi sect"
