Bal Gangadhar Tilak was among the most outstanding representatives of Militant Nationalist School of Thought.He was born in 1856 and he devoted his entire life to the services of his country.He helped to found the newspapers the Mahratta (in English) and the Kesari (in Marathi).He started editing the Kesari from 1889 and preached nationalism in its columns and taught people to become courageous, self-reliant, and selfless fighters in the cause of India‟s independence.
