Due To the Location of this remote place on Chambal River and least resistance by Local Tribal Communities, this Place was chosen for Building NuclearPower Plant with support from Canadian-Based AECL. The Rajasthan Atomic Power Project (RAPP), located in Rawatbhata. Currently, it has Six PressurisedHeavy Water Reactor (PHWR) units operating with a total installed capacity of 1,180MW.
