The Neyveli Lignite Corporation,located here, has adjunct fertilizer manufacturing units that use lignite as feed stock. Jagdishpur in Amethi, Uttar Pradesh, is also known for fertilizer industry (Indo Gulf Fertilisers Co. Ltd, a major producer of urea).
