(4) Transfer of capital from Delhi to Devagiri in 1327 was the important reason for the unpopularity of Muhammad- bin- Tughlaq. Entire population of Delhi was asked to move and cover a distance of about 700 miles. Ziaudddin Barni’s main works are Twarikh-i-Firuzshahi and Fatwa-i-Jahandari give a detailed account about the period of Muhammad Bin Tughlaq. Another important work ‘Rihla’ is left by Ibn Battuta.
