The 'Hornbill Festival' is a celebration that is held every year in Nagaland. It is also called as 'Festival of All Festivals'. The festival is named after the Indian hornbill, the large and colourful forest bird, displayed in the folklore of most of the state's tribes. This festival is held at Naga Heritage village, Kisama, 12km from Kohima. The aim of this festival is to revive and protect the rich culture of Nagaland and is organised by State Tourism and Art Cultures Department.
