Intersection method in a plane table surveying: It is widely employed for plotting the details on the maps. Two stations are selected such that all station to be plotted are visible from this 2 points. The method may also be employed for locating the distant and inaccessible objects, the rivers, in a survey of the hilly areas (where distances cannot be measured easily), broken boundaries and for checking the remote objects.
