This fair is held at four places Haridwar, Prayagraj (Allahabad), Ujjain, Nashik.
This fair is held every 12 years at every place.
In Allahabad, Ardh Kumbh is also organized in 6 years interval between 2 Kumbh festivals.
And in the year 2022, Kumbh Mela will be organized in Haridwar.
The Kumbh Mela is held every third year at one of the four places namely-Haridwar, Prayagraj, Nasik, and Ujjain.
The rivers at these four places are located on the banks of Ganga at Haridwar, Prayagraj Sangam at Allahabad, the Godavari at Nashik and Shipra at Ujjain.
It is the 14th intangible cultural heritage from India to be listed on UNESCO's list.
