⇒ CP‌1 = 6 × (SP‌1 - CP‌1)
⇒ 7 × CP‌1 = 6 × SP‌1
⇒ CP‌1 = (6/7) SP‌1 ---- (1)
⇒ CP‌2 = 3(Loss)
⇒ CP‌2 = 3(CP‌2 - SP‌2 )
⇒ 3 SP‌2 = 2 CP‌2
⇒ CP‌2 = 3/2 SP‌2 ---- (2)
If the cost prices of the articles are the same,
From (1) = (2)
⇒ (6/7) SP‌2 = 3/2 SP‌2
⇒ SP‌1/ SP‌2 = 7/4
⇒ SP‌1 : SP‌2 = 7 : 4
∴ The ratio of SP1 and SP2 is 7 : 4.
