The fruit gardens are an additional attraction for the tourists, who come every year during summer. The ancient architecture of Mughals is visible in the world famous mosque of 'Hazrat-e-Shahi'. Srinagar, the capital of Kashmir, is famous for Dal Lake and the houseboats. Other places of tourist attraction include the famous resort of Gulmarg for skiing, Pahalgam and Sonmarg. The famous Hindu shrine of Amarnath is also a part of Kashmir.
