Ultraviolet light is a form of electromagnetic radiation whose wavelength ranges from 10 nm to 400 nm, which is shorter than that of visible light, but longer than X-rays. Two types of waves are there i.e., transverse waves and longitudinal waves. Ultraviolet light is an example of transverse waves. If the particles are displaced perpendicular to the direction the wave travels, then this is defined as transverse waves. If the particles are displaced parallel to the direction the wave travel is defined as longitude waves.
