Explain any two elements of promotion mix.

Two elements of promotion mix are :
(i) Advertising : It is non-personal communication, which is paid by an identified sponsor. It provides information to the present and prospective customers about the advertising firm, its product, product qualities, etc. through radio, newspaper, television and other non-personal media. It turns the attention of people to the product.
(ii) Publicity : It is non-paid form of nonpersonal communication. This is like advertising except that advertising is paid for and it is not. Publicity takes place when media in the form of news, covers some event and information is disseminated about something free of cost.
