The Seventh Schedule to theConstitution of India defines andspecifies allocation of powers andfunctions between Union and theStates. It contains three lists; i.e. 1. Union List 2. State List 3. Concurrent List The Union List is a list of 100 subjects (originally 97), the State List is a list of 61 subjects (originally 66) and theConcurrent List is a list of 52 subjects (originally 47).
