Army Sports Institute, Pune has been awarded the Rashtriya Khel Protsahan Award 2020.
It has been selected for the award under the category ' Identification and Nurturing of Budding and Young Talent'.
The institute has given this country a number of sportspeople who have participated in Olympics, have won medals at Asian Games and CommonwealthGames.

Rashtriya Khel Protsahan Puraskar is given to corporate entities - private as well as public sectors - and individuals who have played a visible role in thearea of sports promotion and development.
The names of the awardees were declared by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and will be conferred by President Ram Nath Kovind at a functionthrough the virtual mode from Rashtrapati Bhawan on August 29.
The seven disciplines in which ASI conducts training are archery, athletics, boxing, diving, fencing, weightlifting and wrestling.
